I have had the same experience as you Grant, I rang to place an order for some Createx paint and was asked if I had tried Medea, they sent me a sample to try but I must be used to using Createx as I still prefer it.
I haven't tried Liquitex, might have to give it a go.

Air Brushing is a funny old game! Over the years I been involved the one thing i can say without fear of contradiction is if you speak to a dozen different artists you'll get a dozen different ideas / methods. I think once you find a method that works for you thats what you'll stay with.
Not to contradict any of the guys who have posted on this subject. (they are indeed an august company!) I use Createx and leather work I did over three years ago is still looking good with no cracks and very little colour loss. :D
